Alsemberg Rectory, known as De Pastorie Alsemberg, is a historic building with a rich history dating back centuries. It once served as the residence of the local parish pastor, and its architecture and charm testify of its prestigious past.
The original construction of the presbytery dates back to the 18th century, but it has undergone several renovations over the years to preserve its unique character while providing modern conveniences. The stone walls, the exposed beams and the original architectural elements have been carefully restored, creating a warm and authentic atmosphere.
Today, De Pastorie Alsemberg is a Bed & Breakfast that offers travelers a unique and memorable experience. The current owners have taken care to preserve the history and character of the building while creating a comfortable and welcoming space for guests. Lambic from Oud Beersel
Lambic is the oldest style of beer in Belgium that still exists today and even dates back to before 1300 AD. Until around 1860 Lambic was one of the only beers brewed in the region stretching from Brussels to the Senne Valley and Pajottenland.

Comic book fans might recognize the imposing Beersel Castle from Bob and Bobette's 'The Treasure of Beersel' album. The moated castle is one of the last well-preserved examples of medieval military architecture in our country. It was built around 1420.

Beersel Castle
This pretty brick fortified castle was built between 1300 and 1310. We were able to restore its former glory by taking a model from engravings representing it as it was at the end of the 17C. Crowned with moats where machicolation walkways are mirrored, this castle has a very romantic look with its three towers with watchtowers and stepped gables.
Hallerbos
The Blue Forest is often cited as one of the most beautiful forests in the world when the wild bluebells bloom sometime in April. The Forest of Halle is a real natural gem of 552 hectares offering magnificent landscapes and exceptional biodiversity. Enjoy the fresh air and the tranquility of the surrounding nature.
